This rescue pup gives back favor and brings his adorable owner out of coma

Hospital staff anticipated Andy Szasz would remain in a coma for at least a week when he was put into a medically induced coma.

However, Andy recovered remarkably quickly when his wife brought their rescue dog Teddy over to visit.

Andy, who had pneumonia, was taken to the hospital. He stopped breathing as his condition deteriorated, and doctors put him into an induced coma.

They informed his wife, Estelle, that he probably wouldn’t change for a week.

Teddy, an adopted 4-year-old schnauzer-poodle mix, was brought in by Estelle. Andy shocked his doctors by waking up from a coma after only four days with Teddy’s cuddles and support.

As far as it matters for him, Teddy was given the yearly Creature Grant of the Imperial Society for the Avoidance of Brutality to Creatures.

The RSPCA, as it turns out, is a similar spot Andy and Estelle tracked down Teddy in any case.
